for our current project we are using the rgb image feed of the Astra camera. the image topics the camera publishes to all have a resolution of 640x480. According to the specs of the camera, it should be able to run at 1280x720 resolution, but we are unable to change it. both the astra_launch and astra_camera package don’t seem to have any configuration options, and using the dynamic_reconfiguration package gives no option to change the resolution either. is there another way to change the resolution of the camera feed?
We are using the ROSbot 2.0.
Unfortunately it looks like you checked specification of Orbbec Astra PRO instead of Orbbec Astra. Please check one more time parameters of this device on producer website.
As you can see Orbbec Astra has constant RGB resolution 640x480 so it’s not possible to change it.
I did see that on the website of orbbec, but at the same time according to the ROSbot manual, it has an rgb image resolution of 1280x960 (under component description → RGBD camera).
Both sites seem to contradict each other and I don’t know which one is actually correct.
There was indeed a mistake in our documentation. Thank you for pointing it out. The resolution has now been corrected.
