Is the RPLIDAR A2 eye safe ? I do not want damage my dog’s eyesight.
If the RPLIDAR A2 is not 100% safe then I would go with a sonar array.
Also has anyone used the LDS-01 ? It’s compatible with ROS and used on the Turtlebot.
Because this is a Class 1 laser, it is considered safe under all circumstances, even with the use of magnifying optics - though I would still advise against magnifying the laser for any reason because of the technical challenges it will pose for the rest of your project.
