Are there any examples around for using python with the RosBot? i can do c++ if I must, but much prefer not.

We do not provide any Python examples for ROSbot.
For CORE2 board, only C++ is available.
For Linux part, you can try to use ROS tutorials. If there are any issues with them, we will help you to solve problems.
